We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to serve as the Show Director for our one-week theatrical camp. The Show Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall artistic vision of the summer camp show, including the development and teaching of blocking/choreography, coaching actors on line delivery, and interpretation of the script. They will collaborate closely with other directors to ensure a cohesive vision for the show and create a safe and nurturing environment for all youth participants. This position will receive $500 in compensation.

- Develop and implement the artistic vision for the summer camp show, ensuring alignment with the camp's objectives and theme.
- Teach and oversee the blocking/choreography of all scenes, ensuring clarity, creativity, and consistency.
- Coach actors on line delivery, characterization, and interpretation of the script, providing constructive feedback and guidance throughout the rehearsal process.
- Collaborate with other directors (e.g., musical director, choreographer) to ensure a cohesive and integrated production.
- Lead rehearsals effectively, managing time efficiently and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Provide mentorship and support to campers, fostering their creative growth and self-confidence.
- Work closely with the camp staff to address any logistical or scheduling issues related to the production.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all youth participants, adhering to camp policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience directing theatrical productions, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of theatrical techniques, including blocking, choreography, and acting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young performers.
- Creative vision and the ability to translate script ideas into compelling stage presentations.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with youth in the performing arts.

- Collaborate with other directors (e.g., show director, choreographer) to ensure a cohesive and integrated production.
- Lead rehearsals effectively, managing time efficiently and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Camp Producer
The Camp Producer is a dynamic and organized individual who ensures the smooth operation of our one-week theatrical camp. This pivotal role includes overseeing registration, communicating with parents, managing staff, handling accident and incident reports, addressing parental concerns, and coordinating with the theater facilities team. The position is a two-year commitment and includes a $500 stipend each summer.
- Assist in the hiring of all camp staff prior to the start of camp.
- Manage the registration process, including collection of required paperwork and participant fees.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with parents/guardians about camp logistics, schedules, and updates in the lead-up to camp.
- Supervise and support camp staff—including counselors, instructors, and volunteers—to ensure a safe, positive experience for all participants.
- Respond to accidents and incidents promptly and in accordance with established camp protocols.
- Address parental concerns and complaints in a professional, timely manner, working toward effective resolutions.
- Coordinate with the theater facilities team to ensure camp activities run smoothly within the venue.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
- Implement emergency procedures when necessary, prioritizing the safety of campers and staff.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of camp facilities before and after the camp week.
- Previous experience in camp administration, event management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with parents, staff, and external partners.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a capacity to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.
- Familiarity with theater production or performing arts education is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Technical DirectorThe Camp Technical Director will oversee all technical aspects of the show, including set construction, lighting, sound, and special effects. Working closely with the camp director, the Technical Director will help bring the artistic vision to life and provide instruction to campers interested in technical theater. The position offers a compensation of $250.

Stage ManagerThe Camp Stage Manager will ensure the smooth operation of rehearsals and performances during the one-week theatrical camp. Key responsibilities include sending out rehearsal reports, communicating with parents and children, taking blocking notes, managing props, and maintaining timekeeping to ensure proper breaks. The position offers a compensation of $250.
