The annual Footlight Festival celebrates the talents of local playwrights, as well as established one-act plays. This year's festival includes the following four plays: The Sure Thing by David Ives, directed by Marilyn Maxwell A comedy to satire a first date. Betty and Bill meet at a restaurant, but their conversations are a little rocky -- fortunately, they get a chance to redo every missed conversational opportunity. Cast:
Mental Reservations by Roger Cornish, directed by Robert Rausch An examination of how little, everyday lies affect interactions between two people in a snapshot of their relationship Cast:
Avaritia by Mallory Green, directed by A. Gilligan Hell. Three characters of different time periods confess their sins of greed and murder to the omnipresent Shade to learn the weight and purpose of their penances. Cast:
Headquarters by Peter E. Abresch, directed by Bill Scarafia An elderly gentleman faces and comes to terms with the end of his life. Originally featured at the Maryland Community Theatre Festival in January 2012 and ESTA Fest in Pennsylvania. Cast:
