Steve Fogle, Director ~
This is Steve's directorial debut with The Newtowne Players after appearing in Plaza Suite (Sam Nash), Shakespeare in Hollywood (Max Reinhardt), and The Fantasticks (Bellomy). Other credits include 1776, Arsenic and Old Lace, Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, A Christmas Carol (Chesapeake Music Hall), Tom Jones, The Rainmaker, Cabaret, The Lion in Winter (Prince George's Little Theatre), Marat/Sade, and Company (Silver Spring Stage). During the day, Steve teaches seventh grade reading/language arts at Esperanza Middle School. To Jill, Jessany, Lori and the cats, much love.
Tasnim McWilliams, Producer ~
Originally from Bombay, India, Tas is no stranger to Three Notch Theatre. In the past, she has
served as a board member and has also performed in Scotland Road, War of the Worlds, The Real Inspector Hound and Red Dog Dirt. Tas directed a one-act, Funeral Tea, and served as producer for The Foreigner. Once again, this is a great opportunity for Tas, and she would like to say "BREAK A LEG" to the cast and crew and a big "THANK YOU" to her husband, Steve, for his unceasing patience and all his support.
Jessica Duncan, Assistant Producer ~
This is the second production Jessica has had a hand in. The first was Shakespeare in Hollywood, where she played Olivia Darnell. She enjoys working/volunteering for the theatre in any aspect and enjoys working with her director again, Steve Fogle, aka Max Reinhardt. Jessica has a bachelor's degree in theatre and has studied in New York and Miami.
Dave Kyser, Technical Director ~
Dave joined The Newtowne Players in early 2006 and has been involved with almost every show since. His major credits include set and light design for Blithe Spirit, light design for Bedroom Farce, technical director for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, light design for Nunsense, assistant director and stage manager for The Dining Room, set design for Return to the Forbidden Planet, light design for The Foreigner, light design for Shakespeare in Hollywood and set design for Harvey. He has won four Triple Notch Awards for his set and light design. Dave would like to thank his wonderful wife, Becky, for letting him indulge his passion and putting up with the late nights and many hours away from home.
Kerry Robinson, Lighting Designer ~
Kerry has been helping put shows on stage with The Newtowne Players since the days in the Doo Dah Deli, when NTP was first established. Having designed sets and lights, directed and produced, Kerry is well known behind-the-scenes at TNT. Prior to this, Kerry designed lights locally for Parks and Recreation musicals (1992, 1996-98), and for Church Street Theatre and Baird Auditorium (Smithsonian) while he was working behind the scenes at many of the major D.C. area (non-union) theaters.
Dave Kalil, Sound Designer ~
This is David's second play with The Newtowne Players. In David's previous theater life, he played Scrooge's nephew, Fred, in A Christmas Carol. He also was a member of the baseball team and the choir in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. David's first play at Three Notch Theatre was Return to the Forbidden Planet, where he helped with the overall sound, for which he received an award for best sound design. David is very excited to be back with the crew and doing sound again. He would like to thank his wife, Christine, for her encouragement and support.
Millie Coryer-Dhu, Costume Designer ~
As an import from upstate New York, Millie brings 30 years of experience, both on stage and behind the scenes. She has performed in summer stock in Plattsburgh, New York and is a member of the Clifton Park Players in Cohoes, New York, Patuxent Playhouse, Inc. and The Newtowne Players. Millie started a senior theater group at the Loffler Senior Center, where she has directed Key Lime Pie, A Murder on Solomons Island, and Not My Cup of Tea. She served as the costume designer for The Fantasticks and has directed three one-act plays: Key Lime Pie, Not My Cup of Tea and most recently, The Bench, at Three Notch Theatre.
Ashlee Forehand, Elizabeth ~
This is Ashlee's second time performing with The Newtowne Players. She's sticking to one play per year so as not to spoil anyone. Last year, she played a "fake" Texan, this year, a "real" Texan, and next year, your guess is as good as hers.
Rachel Laslo, Hattie ~
Rachel is a senior theatre major at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va., currently living with her parents in Mechanicsville, Md., until the end of the summer. Upon her graduation, she intends to move to Boston and pursue an acting career. Stage credits include The Mercy Seat (Abby Prescott), Is He Dead- (Cecile/Inspector LeFaux), The Tempest (Earth Spirit), Godspell (Gilmer), and Book of Days (Martha Hoch). Backstage, she has held many positions, including master electrician, master costumer, general technician, makeup artist, scenic painter and sound board operator. Outside of the theatre, she enjoys horseback riding, knitting, reading and painting. She would like to thank the cast for a great time, her parents for all the gas money and Steve for letting her go to the wedding.
Jessica Cantrell, Amy Lee ~
Laundry and Bourbon is Jessica's Maryland stage debut. Her acting career began at age 4 when she memorized 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and performed it on the family hearth. While attending college in Florida for music and theatre, she was involved in every show she could get her hands on. When not onstage, you could find Jessica in the scene or costume shop, running around backstage, in the sound or light booth. Her favorite productions so far have been Jekyll and Hyde, Vinegar Tom, Oleanna, The Diary of Adam and Eve and Cabaret. She also performs five days a week as the helpful and bubbly salon coordinator at Hair It Is Salon and Spa.
Richard Eccleston, Roy ~
This is Richard's first performance with The Newtowne Players.
Peter Klug, Ray ~
Peter Klug is a sophomore theatre major attending the State University of New York in Potsdam. Last summer, he performed in NTP's production of Shakespeare in Hollywood and was most recently seen in two original one-act plays: wŏm'ən: revised and The Hospital.
John Raley, Cletis ~
John's NTP productions include Captain Charlie in Crabs Alive, Puck in Shakespeare in Hollywood (Triple Notch Award nomination for best actor), and Dr. William Chumley in Harvey (Triple Notch Award nomination for best supporting actor). Other credits include Gonzalo in CSM's The Tempest, Stanford White/Doctor/Fireman in Stagework Festival's Ragtime, and three productions at the Port Tobacco Players as Weber/Mr. Goldstone/Phil in Gypsy, Bookseller/Monsieur D'Arque/Ensemble in Beauty and the Beast and Archbishop Thomas Cramner in A Man for All Seasons. John has studied acting and performed at the Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C., and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
